Utility Coordinator

Mead & Hunt is looking for a Utility Coordinator in Lexington, Myrtle Beach, or North Charleston, SC to join the Transportation team.

• Coordinating with utility providers in relation to DOT transportation projects
• Evaluating potential conflict points with existing utilities
• Assist with the interpretation of highway construction plans, drainage layouts, and specifications to identify utility impacts
• Attend field meetings and site investigations as required
• Effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments
• Use computer-aided drafting and design software to develop and produce drawings
• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Associate degree (or higher) in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience, OR if no degree, at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

• Familiar with SCDOT procedures and preferences for coordination of utility relocations
• Basic knowledge of Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software
• Familiar with utility providers of electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and sewer utility services in SC
