Utility Coordinator
Position located in Lexington, SC;
Myrtle Beach, SC; or North Charleston, SC.
- Coordinating with utility providers in relation to DOT transportation projects
- Evaluating potential conflict points with existing utilities
- Assist with the interpretation of highway construction plans, drainage layouts, specifications to identify utility impacts
- Attend field meetings and site investigations as required
- Effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments
- Use computer-aided drafting and design software to develop and produce drawings
A valid driver's license is required.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must have the following:
- Associate degree (or higher) in engineering or related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR if no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Familiar with SCDOT procedures and preferences for coordination of utility relocations
- Basic knowledge of Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software
- Familiar with utility providers of electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and sewer utility services in SC
