About the Role
Provide PLC programming and support for all PLC/HMI applications on the factory floor. Create, modify, troubleshoot PLC/HMI and other programmable devices for process improvements, failures, and new designs in coordination with internal and external engineering, production, and maintenance.
Shift & PayShift: 1st | Pay: $25/hr a 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
Responsibilities- Create and modify PLC/HMI programs as required.
- Assist with tracking and providing backups on programmable devices used on the manufacturing floor.
- Troubleshoot PLC/HMI issues.
- Modify electrical components on machinery to improve performance.
- Program additional devices (proximity sensors, level probes, flow meters) as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production to deliver robust solutions that meet departmental needs.
- Read detailed electrical drawings and modify CAD drawings as required.
- Use measuring tools, hand and power tools, utility equipment, and AMP/Volt meters (AC/DC).
- An associate’s degree or equivalent 2‑year degree in Industrial Mechatronics, Automation, or Electronics is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience performing electrical, pneumatic, and electronic troubleshooting and service of CNC machinery and/or automation equipment is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with PLC and HMI programming/troubleshooting and associated software applications from vendors such as SEW‑EURODRIVE, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and others.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints.
- Ability to use CAD applications such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Visio to view and modify electrical drawings as needed.
