As our Applications Engineer, you will contribute to the success of the company by driving the growth and profitability of the companys product lines. You will work closely with our customers and vendors to ensure that the products being developed, launched and quoted allow Pro Mach Integrated Solutions to compete successfully and effectively in the marketplace. The position reports to the Manager, Applications Engineering.

ResponsibilitiesReview customer RFPs, drawings, control documentation and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of a given design or project
Participate in the new project evaluation process by developing a concept, gathering cost data from historical records for pricing purposes, and make recommendations on proceeding or declining a project based on a risk/benefit analysis
Liaise with management, sales and engineering during concept development
Prepare preliminary design proposal(s) including concept layout drawings using AutoCAD and prepare proposal documentation in conjunction with the sales team
Interact with customers to define scope, obtain specifications pertinent to the project and clarify questions they may have with the proposal if necessary in conjunction with sales staff
Interact with vendors concerning part and/or assembly quotations required for the estimate
Identify and understand competitive equipment
Travel to customer sites for project evaluation. This may include measuring to define ranges and interaction with both factory and corporate staff
Work with marketing to develop product launches, sales support, educational and promotional materials
Assist with pricing strategy and create price lists, assist with vendor communication in price negotiations
Monitor quality issues and resolve vendor related problems
Maintain up-to-date sales and technical resources
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years experience developing applications solutions in the packaging machinery industry
Intermediate to advanced computer skills with MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex technical documents
High mechanical aptitude
AutoCAD 2D skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Excellent customer relations skills
