Job Responsibilities

• Assist with intelligence gathering to contribute to prevention, detection, and seizing of contraband items at the institution.
• Responsible for inmate drug testing.
• Assist with cell searches, contraband retrieval, employee, visitor, vehicle, dorm and package searches.
• Provide the Warden with pertinent information as it relates to gang activity and suspicious behavior within the institution.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 18 years of age or older
• High school graduate or GED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Tattoos:
  Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more, or a fine of $1,000.
• Must pass a medical assessment administered by SCDC.
• Must be certified.
