The OpportunityIn this full-time, on-site role, the Physician Assistant serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. This position provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management,and ongoing medical oversight within a structured PHP/IOP setting. The Physician Assistant plays acritical role in clinical assessment, treatment planning, regulatory compliance, and ongoing coordination of care to support safe and effective recovery outcomes.
What You Will Do at Coastal Recovery- Conductpsychiatric and medical assessments for PHP and IOP patients upon admission and throughout treatment.
- Providemedication management in accordance with scope of practice, supervisoryagreements, and program protocols.
- Monitor patient response to psychotropic and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) related medications.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, nurses, and case management staff to ensureintegrated, coordinated care.
- Participateactively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical reviews.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Supportcontinuity of care, including coordination with external providers and referral sources when needed.
- Adhereto all applicable South Carolina licensing, supervision, and program requirements.
- Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) credential in the Stateof South Carolina , active and in good standing.
- Active
DEA registration (or ability to obtain upon hire). - Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disordertreatment is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of psychotropic medications, MAT protocols, and monitoringrequirements.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and ability to manage complex client presentations.

- Abilityto work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary behavioral healthenvironment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation.
