Coastal Recovery is a leading provider of integrated behavioral health services, specializing in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment through Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. In this full‑time, on‑site role, the Physician Assistant serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. This position provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing medical oversight within a structured PHP/IOP setting. The Physician Assistant plays a critical role in clinical assessment, treatment planning, regulatory compliance, and ongoing coordination of care to support safe and effective recovery outcomes.

• Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments for PHP and IOP patients upon admission and throughout treatment.
• Provide medication management in accordance with scope of practice, supervisory agreements, and program protocols.
• Monitor patient response to psychotropic and Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) related medications.
• Collaborate closely with therapists, nurses, and case management staff to ensure integrated, coordinated care.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical reviews.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support continuity of care, including coordination with external providers and referral sources when needed.
• Adhere to all applicable South Carolina licensing, supervision, and program requirements.

• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) credential in the State of South Carolina
  , active and in good standing.
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of psychotropic medications, MAT protocols, and monitoring requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and ability to manage complex client presentations.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and person‑centered care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary behavioral health environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation.
