Overview

As an Evening Manager, you will oversee the smooth operation of the property during evening hours, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and supporting team members across departments. You will act as a key point of contact for guest concerns and play a vital role in maintaining communication and operational excellence throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities

Evening Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as Manager-on-Duty and supporting the Guest Services Manager during evening shifts
  • Supervising and coordinating with all departments, including Housekeeping, Maintenance, Recreation, and Food & Beverage, to ensure seamless operations and service delivery
  • Resolving guest complaints or issues promptly, and recognizing positive feedback
  • Monitoring room assignments to ensure availability for at least 14 days out and verifying room readiness for new arrivals
  • Completing and reviewing daily reports, including the Night Manager’s Report, and communicating pertinent information to Night Auditors
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of the night audit and performing the audit when necessary
  • Reviewing the Front Desk log to monitor daily activities and track guest service trends
  • Facilitating strong communication and collaboration with the Guest Services Day team and other department teams to provide consistent 24‑hour service
  • Ensuring Guest Services staff completes nightly bucket checks and confirming next‑day reservations are accurate
  • Upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct across all areas of the property
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in a similar role or a department head role at a resort
  • Ability to work evening/night shifts and weekends
  • Exhibits a strong level of enthusiasm and a flexible approach
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold company service standards
  • Ability to coach and guide associates, fostering teamwork, collaboration, responsibility, reliability, and honesty
  • Proficiency with computers and general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
  • Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors
