Hotel Banquet Server

The Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort and Spa at Grande Dunes is looking for responsible and motivated service professionals to join its banquet team. This is a PART TIME position. Hours vary based of events. Weekends are a must.

As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

* Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.

* Relay banquet requests to the appropriate person.

* Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.

* Anticipate guests' needs and exceed customer service expectations.

* Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

* Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.

* Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.

* Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.

Requirements

* Must be 18 years old. Banquet experience preferred but not required

* Training and willingness to continue learning about banquet function success

* Exceptional listening and communication skills.

* Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.

* Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

* A polite, engaging personality.

* Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.

* Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
