IT Technician II (Temporary)
The Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing (MCEC) is seeking a temporary hire to support operations within the Carolina Enclave for Secure Research (CESR), a controlled research environment that ensures compliance with federal cybersecurity and data protection requirements. The employee will assist CESR staff with day‑to‑day operational tasks that ensure secure, efficient user access and system management. Additionally, the role will increase the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of processes and technology through automation, observability, and modern engineering practices by designing tools, workflows, and systems that improve visibility, streamline operations, and enhance the resilience of services through the use of APIs, scripting, and data integrations.
The incumbent will build dashboards, monitoring, and reporting that support configuration management, improve efficiency, and enable data‑driven decision making.
- Handle day‑to‑day operational tasks that support secure and efficient user access and system management.
- Design tools, workflows, and systems that enhance visibility, streamline operations, and build resilience.
- Develop APIs, scripts, and data integrations to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Create dashboards, monitoring, and reporting to support configuration management and data‑driven decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (experience may substitute).
