Sr. Systems Administrator

Core Technology Solutions is partnering with a longstanding client to identify an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator for a key addition to its technology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded infrastructure professional who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership, solving problems, and working across multiple areas of technology rather than operating within a narrowly defined technical silo.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience supporting Microsoft and virtualized infrastructure, along with practical knowledge of networking, backups/recovery, security technologies, and enterprise systems.

• Support, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot a Microsoft-based enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage and support virtual server environments, with an emphasis on VMware.
• Maintain Windows Server and related Microsoft technologies.
• Support backup, recovery, patching, monitoring, and overall systems availability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues spanning servers, networks, connectivity, firewalls, and related technologies.
• Support Microsoft 365 and associated enterprise services.
• Work with technology vendors and partners to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, implementations, and technology initiatives.
• Proactively monitor the environment and identify potential issues before they become business-impacting problems.
• Serve as a senior technical resource capable of taking ownership of issues through resolution.

• Approximately 7+ years of progressive systems/infrastructure experience or equivalent demonstrated technical depth.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware / virtualized server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft 365.
• Practical experience with enterprise backup and recovery technologies.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting firewall and network-security technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple layers of the infrastructure environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and learn new technologies.
• Ability to adapt as business and technology priorities change.

This position requires an on-site presence in the Coastal Southeast —> on-site position; relocation considered. Candidates currently outside the area who have a genuine interest in relocation are encouraged to inquire.
