Electric Motor Mechanic – Winnsboro

Our electric motor mechanic is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, assembly and testing of electric motors. Duties include assembly of electric motors, electrically testing, and test running electric motors. Our facility repairs AC, DC, Synchronous, Horizontal, Vertical, etc. electric motors from fractional through 5,000+ HP, from 230v through 7,000v AC. We repair electric motors and pumps from a variety of industries including steel mills, power plants, paper mills, sawmills, chemical companies, cement plants, asphalt plants, etc.

• Disassembly, assembly and testing of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Uploading measurements, images and other required data into our cloud-based quality management and reporting software, utilizing computer tablets.
• Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Use of insulation resistance testers, hi-potential meters, ohm testers, micrometers, and AC and DC test panels

• Expected to be able to work independently and with others depending on scope of work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with company management team and other employees.
• Must be able to perform generical physical activities common to the electric motor repair trade.
