Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in compliance with state and specialty standards. Works with physicians and the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” Serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers promoting a positive patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively resolving their needs.
- Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
- Teach patients/families/caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, and prepare them for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current RN license.
- Registered Nurse diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree.
