Peer Tutor – Nursing & Clinical Courses
The University invites applications for Peer Tutors to support student success in our Nursing and Clinical Programs. Peer Tutors play a vital role in strengthening academic performance, clinical reasoning, and confidence among nursing students through collaborative, small‑group learning experiences. Peer Tutors will provide structured, small‑group tutoring to current nursing students enrolled in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Nursing Clinical Courses, helping participants bridge theory to practice while developing critical thinking and clinical judgment skills essential to professional nursing practice.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Facilitate small‑group tutoring sessions for nursing students in designated nursing and clinical courses
- Support students in applying course content, clinical concepts, and evidence‑based reasoning to real‑world scenarios
- Guide students through case studies, care prioritization, and clinical decision‑making processes
- Encourage self‑directed learning, problem‑solving, and academic confidence
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and nonjudgmental learning environment
- Collaborate with faculty and program staff as needed to support student success initiatives
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or relevant professional experience in the nursing course(s) assigned for tutoring
- Demonstrated academic or clinical proficiency in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and/or Nursing Clinical Courses
