Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role:
Stepdown RN responsible for providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units.

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administer medications and treatments, assist during cardiac procedures.
• Assess patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and document findings.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

• Minimum one year recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, work effectively with diverse teams, and handle stressful situations.
• Proficiency in reading instructions, documentation, and PC skills.
• Visual acuity and physical ability to assist with procedures and equipment.
