As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol – Afternoon Shift in Myrtle Beach, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security‑related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $17.81 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Mon 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Tue 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Fri 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sat 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Sun 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
- Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by monitoring assigned areas and addressing concerns in accordance with site guidelines.
- Support daily operations by assisting with access control, visitor screening, and/or direction‑giving while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
- Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
