Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law.
This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.
Part Time and Flex Security Officer – Myrtle Beach, SC.
PayPay Rate: $17.81 / Hour
Schedules- This is a part-time position, which includes weekends.
- Must be available to work all shifts (Day, Afternoon, Overnight).
- As needed officers for every shift – Part Time to cover vacations and calls offs. Cannot guarantee the hours per week.
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with onsite personnel and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor and staff movement to help deter disruptions, support site rules, and document security-related concerns according to Allied Universal and location guidelines.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be willing and able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be willing and able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
