We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire and Burglar Alarm Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm and burglar alarm systems across various commercial and residential sites. Your expertise will ensure that safety systems operate flawlessly, providing peace of mind to clients and compliance with safety standards.

This is a field-based position, candidate must reside in one of the following areas:
Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Aiken, SC.
- Install fire alarm and burglar alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and system design specifications using hand tools, power tools, and CAD software.
- Conduct detailed system inspections to verify proper operation of sensors, low voltage wiring, fire sprinklers, and other components.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, electrical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate system setup.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on alarm systems to ensure optimal performance in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate alarm systems seamlessly into building infrastructure.
- Conduct field service visits for system testing, calibration, upgrades, and client training on alarm system features including fire alarm sales and alarm system sales initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, repairs, and service reports for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in fire alarms, burglar alarms, or security systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to low voltage wiring and sensors.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and system schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with fire sprinkler fitting procedures and construction inspection processes is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and fire alarm testing devices.
- Knowledge of NEC standards related to low voltage wiring and electrical safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex alarm systems efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and team members during installation or service calls.
- Valid technical certifications or licenses related to fire alarm systems or electrical work are preferred but not mandatory.
