Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Carolina Cool is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems along the Grand Strand. In this field-based role, you'll handle troubleshooting, tune-ups, and installations for offices, restaurants, and other commercial sites while upholding our safety and customer-first standards. You'll work with advanced HVAC technologies, respond to emergency calls, and collaborate with a skilled, team-oriented group dedicated to quality craftsmanship and long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Install, start up, and commission new commercial HVAC systems per manufacturer and code requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets and reports.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, options, and preventive recommendations.
• Collaborate with dispatch and team members to prioritize and complete daily service calls.
• Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards on every job site.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency and after-hours service as needed.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, and service-ready condition.
