Residential HVAC Lead Installer

Carolina Cool is seeking a Residential HVAC Lead Installer to join our Surfside Beach team. In this field-based role, you'll lead high-quality installs of residential heating and cooling systems, including full change-outs, ductwork, and start-ups. You'll ensure safe, code-compliant work, diagnose installation issues, and deliver clean, efficient systems that keep customers comfortable and energy efficient. As a lead, you'll mentor junior installers, model excellent craftsmanship and customer service, and collaborate closely with our service-focused, team-oriented crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC system change-outs and new installations
• Plan, lay out, and install ductwork, condensers, air handlers, and accessories
• Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of systems
• Ensure code compliance and strict adherence to safety standards
• Diagnose and resolve installation issues on-site
• Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices
• Communicate with homeowners about system operation and maintenance
• Coordinate with dispatch and project managers to meet deadlines
