The Multifamily Plumbing Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role covering coastal regions from Wilmington to Charleston. This position oversees plumbing installation and construction activities on multifamily projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, codes, and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating crews, scheduling and inspecting work, managing materials and subcontractors, and collaborating with general contractors and other trades on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
The superintendent monitors project progress, resolves field issues, maintains site documentation, and helps ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering projects on time and within scope. This role also supports quality control, safety compliance, and training of field staff.
- Strong plumbing knowledge and hands-on experience with commercial and multifamily plumbing systems.
- Supervisory skills to lead, schedule, and coach field teams, and coordinate with other trades.
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) understanding to review drawings, identify conflicts, and support integrated building systems.
- Commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and project partners.
- Experience reading blueprints, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
- Working knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Previous experience as a plumbing foreman, superintendent, or similar field leadership role in construction.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, apprenticeship completion, or relevant certifications are beneficial.
- Willing to travel from Wilmington to Charleston and surrounding areas job sites and ability to work on-site throughout the project schedule.
