Pee Dee Professional Intervention Services, LLC is currently seeking immediate hires for Part‑Time and Full‑Time Early Interventionists to work in Columbia, Charleston and the Pee Dee Regions. Early Interventionists will provide intensive developmental instruction and Service Coordination for parents, caregivers and their children with developmental delay. This is the idea job for someone looking for a flexible schedule and loves working with children and families.

• At Pee Dee Professional Intervention Services, LLC , we equip parents with research‑based strategies and professional services to help their children reach developmental milestones.
• This position involves a high degree of autonomy.
• An Early Interventionist serves two roles – Special Instructor and Service Coordinator.
• As Special Instructors, we serve as a teacher. We use activity‑based learning to teach parents how to use strategies/techniques to help their children meet developmental goals.
• The ideal candidate will enjoy researching activities that address a child's developmental skills – Communication, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self Help, etc. Through Service Coordination, we connect parents with services and resources that meet their needs and areas of concern.
• We provide an in‑depth training program (shadowing, webinars, one‑on‑one training, etc) to enable our Early Interventionists to learn the tools of the trade.

• Excellent in fostering long‑term relationships with client, family members and school support staff. Provide quality care and cultivate the ability to lead in life skills education, teach in both the home and school settings, and utilize safe crisis management.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in the child's natural environment with the child and caregiver.
• Assist families in helping children reach developmental milestone.
• Perform home visits as outlined in treatment plans.
• Ensure that services outlined in the child's IFSP/FSP are rendered in accordance with current plan.
• Manages a caseload of approximately 25 families.
• Provides individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in the areas of cognitive, adaptive behavior, social‑emotional, self‑care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
• Ability to demonstrate a record of successfully working in group settings and one‑on‑one with a diverse clientele.
• Assesses family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress. Participates in multidisciplinary assessments; selects and administers assessment instruments and procedures appropriately; interprets and reports test results; completes assessment reports and sends to appropriate agency; functions as coordinator for the assessment team.
• Acts as service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family on caseload, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines are followed. Provides families with information on current trends and practices related to the needs of their child.
• Provides supportive professional assistance to families. Facilitates parent‑child interactions to encourage child's development; encourages parents to participate in as normal a lifestyle as possible by developing family strengths and resources; assists families to act as advocates for their child.
• Completes reports, routine documentation, and management procedures as required by agency policies. Provides consultation, training, and screening clinics for outside agencies and interagency groups.
