POSITION SUMMARY

The Welcome Center Representative creates a welcoming and positive experience for members, guests, and program participants at the YMCA of Coastal Carolina. This position serves as a primary point of contact, providing exceptional service, assisting with memberships and programs, responding to questions and concerns, and helping individuals connect with YMCA opportunities while modeling the core values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provides exceptional and welcoming service to members, guests, and program participants in person, by phone, and through other approved communication channels.
  • Greets and checks in members and guests, assists with account questions, registrations, payments, and other Welcome Center transactions.
  • Conducts facility tours, responds to prospective member inquiries, and supports membership enrollment and program registration.
  • Builds positive relationships with members and helps connect individuals and families with YMCA programs, services, and opportunities.
  • Maintains current knowledge of YMCA memberships, programs, schedules, events, policies, and services to provide accurate information.
  • Responds to member questions and concerns professionally and timely, escalating sensitive or unresolved matters to appropriate leadership.
  • Follows established procedures for cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, member records, and confidential information.
  • Applies YMCA policies, procedures, safety practices, and Child Protection Standards consistently and respectfully.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming Welcome Center and lobby area and reports facility or safety concerns as needed.
  • Assists with locker keys, facility access, and monitoring of designated member areas as assigned.
  • Participates in required staff meetings, trainings, and YMCA initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
