Overview
The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, operating forklifts, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state‑issued driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Responsibilities- Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies.
- Receive forklift training, obtain certification, and operate the forklift.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized lumber yard and warehouse.
- Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Manage time effectively and keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Read and speak English to converse with the public, understand highway signs, and make entries on reports.
- Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
- Provide an annual true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the required certificate.
- Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
- Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the FMC.
- Complete a driver’s road test and have a valid certificate of driver’s road test or equivalent.
- May be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license, depending on the truck and/or hauler.
- May be required to have a valid medical exam certificate or card.
- Hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
