Pendleton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a skilled nursing and long-term care facility located in beautiful Mystic, CT, is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team!

As a Housekeeper at Pendleton, you'll help ensure our facility remains clean, sanitary, and comfortable for everyone who calls it home.

Responsibilities Include:

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other designated areas throughout the facility.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to established cleaning schedules.

• Follow proper infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a healthy environment.

• Collect and properly dispose of trash, waste, and other materials in accordance with facility policies.

• Replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essentials as needed.

• Safely handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor.

• Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing daily duties.

• Work cooperatively with nursing staff, residents, and other departments to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

• Assist with additional housekeeping duties and special cleaning projects as needed.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred; experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare setting, hotel, or similar environment is a plus.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and infection control is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.

• Ability to follow instructions, established cleaning schedules, and safety procedures.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude when interacting with residents, families, and coworkers.

• Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing cleaning carts, and lifting cleaning supplies throughout the shift.

• A genuine commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus, but we welcome candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn!
