Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on building systems, equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues and implement repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact on operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of building systems—including fire alarms, emergency lighting, elevators, and generators—to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, maintenance activities, and equipment performance to facilitate tracking and reporting.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and other critical incidents to mitigate risks and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external contractors as needed to address emergency repairs and ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks to upkeep the appearance and functionality of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
  • Assist with renovations, remodeling projects, and equipment upgrades to enhance the overall guest experience and maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies related to maintenance operations.
Skills Required
  • High‑level customer service and effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure under pressure.
Technical
  • Solid experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
  • General carpentry skills; knowledge and use of basic hand and power tools.
Experience / Education
  • Minimum one year of general building maintenance or equivalent trade experience. Vocational school certification preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Very physically demanding: extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and kneeling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable eligible individuals to perform essential functions.
