SUMMARY
The primary teaching area for this position is the sophomore-level,writing-intensive business communication course. We are seeking candidates who can deliver high-quality teaching to effectivelyengage students. Depending on experience, candidate may be asked toteach courses in a variety of business areas including businesscommunication, oral communication, and general business. Thestandard teaching load for faculty in the Rusche College of Business is 24 teaching load credits for the combined fall andspring semesters.
The Rusche College of Business is AACSB-accredited, and the successful candidate will be required to meet faculty sufficiencyrequirements and engage in research, scholarly, and professionalactivities to maintain faculty sufficiency as defined by the College of Business Faculty Sufficiency Policy and its accreditingbody (AACSB).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in teaching at the university level.
- Experience in a professional business setting.
- Ability to teach in-person and online.
- Ability and desire to teach several writing-intensive courseseach term.
This is a full-time, nine-month, faculty position responsible forteaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Works under limitedsupervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the chair.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in the field in which the individual will beteaching is required.
Practical experience sufficient to teach at the university level,through teaching or profession, is required. Experience teaching atthe university level is preferred.
