Vehicle Integration with Catia‑Automotive

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment and your voice is heard? We have a position for a Vehicle Integration with Catia‑Automotive to work onsite at our client in Nacogdoches, TX.

What you will be doing

A Vehicle Integration Engineer utilizing CATIA is responsible for managing the Digital Mock‑Up (DMU), ensuring different sub‑systems fit together, and balancing structural or functional requirements. They bridge styling intent with manufacturing realities, utilizing 3D CAD to manage packaging trade‑offs from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master Assembly & Packaging:
    Create and manipulate large assemblies in CATIA V5/V6. Manage the digital mockup to maintain spatial compliance and solve geometric incompatibilities between subsystems.
  • Clash & Clearance Analysis:
    Conduct rigorous reviews to identify packaging conflicts, spatial constraints, and ensure regulatory clearances (e.g., vision zones, dynamic part envelopes).
  • Interface Management:
    Define and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) outlining critical mounting and connection strategies between major hardware modules (e.g., battery pack to chassis). Use product‑lifcycle management systems such as ENOVIA or Teamcenter for Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and revision control.
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment:
    Collaborate with engineering leads, design studios, and manufacturing teams to validate physical and virtual builds.
What you'll need to be successful
  • Advanced proficiency in CATIA (V5, V6, or 3

    DEXPERIENCE) with a strong understanding of large assembly management and surfacing.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Strong grasp of tolerance stack‑up analysis to validate component fitment during physical assembly.
  • Understanding of occupant ergonomics, vehicle architecture, and multi‑domain trade‑offs.
