Job SummaryUnder minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi‑credentialed in sonography. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Produce high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Assist with amnio procedure biopsies.
- Process and file films as needed.
- Education: Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography. - Education: Preferred:
Associate degree. - Experience: Preferred: 1–3 years.
- Certifications: Required:
Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire). - Certifications: Required: BLS certified.
