The human resource representative is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports. Assist with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. Acts as liaison to employees and managers.
Responsibilities- Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, management, and a variety of companies.
- Submits online applicant investigation requests and obtains new employee background checks and drug testing results.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
- Submits online E-Verify investigation requests on all new hires.
- Creates new employee personnel records and scans documents into appropriate folders.
- Assists in administration of the compensation program; processes performance appraisals and other payroll changes or corrections.
- Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans.
- Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
- Reviews benefits with employees and processes cancellation or changes.
- Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
- Updates HRIS database records and processes paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes.
- Maintains electronic personnel records; performs data entry of pertinent personnel information and ensures proper documentation is maintained.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong preference for those offering prior experience in Human Resources and professional certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR. We are seeking a bilingual communicator with exceptional verbal and written skills who can balance a customer-service mindset with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented multitasker proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) who either possesses a foundational understanding of HR practices and employment laws or has a proactive willingness to learn.
