About the Role
Burke is seeking motivated Information Systems Interns to support the I.S. Department during the summer. This role assists with basic IT operations and provides hands-on learning opportunities in a nonprofit healthcare environment.
This position is ideal for students interested in information technology, computer systems, or gaining real-world IT experience.
What You'll Do
* Provide basic technical support for staff
* Assist with computer setup and user accounts
* Help with system updates and equipment tracking
* Support documentation of IT processes and procedures
* Participate in small IT-related projects
* Shadow I.S. staff to learn daily operations
What We're Looking For
Required:
* Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in IT, Computer Science, or related field
* Basic computer and troubleshooting skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred:
* Some experience with IT support or troubleshooting
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

* Organization and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a team environment
Work Schedule
* Monday-Friday
* 20-30 hours per week
Compensation
* $7.25 an hour
Physical Requirements
* Ability to sit for extended periods
* Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Frequent computer use and hand/finger dexterity
