Position Summary
The position is for a Test Technician at the EPS Nacogdoches, Texas facility. In this role, the individual will primarily be responsible for the execution of qualification and characterization testing of rotary dynamic seals using a series of rotary test machines. The Test Technician will be responsible for setting up, starting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and completing tests, as well as maintaining equipment and documenting results.
Interface with Product Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Departments. Perform and report on mechanical testing for new and existing designs.

Responsibilities- Set up, start, monitor, and complete tests on a series of test machines.
- Ensure tests are run properly and consistently, identifying and addressing issues that may arise during operation.
- Troubleshoot and debug test setups, equipment issues, and test interruptions to keep testing on track.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep of test equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Prepare test specimens and equipment in accordance with established procedures and test plans.
- Conduct required pre-test and post-test evaluations, including photographs, dimensional measurements, and documentation of part condition.
- Collect, record, and organize test data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Inspect test articles before, during, and after testing to identify wear, damage, or performance trends.
- Assist with test documentation and communicate results, issues, and observations to engineering and technical teams.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized test lab environment.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and laboratory procedures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and have the ability to lift up to 40lbs. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate a computer and is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks employee may be required to travel to vendors or customers including overnight trips.

- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or testing environment preferred.
- Experience operating mechanical test equipment, laboratory equipment, or industrial machinery preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment or process issues.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and test plans.
- Attention to detail in measurements, documentation, and visual inspection of parts.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage tests through completion.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
