Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 1st Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory  hourly rate for this position is 19.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Pads Transformer Assembler executes final assembly operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures.

  • Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.
  • Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
  • Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.
  • Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
  • Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
  • Use small power hand tools as required.
  • Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.
  • Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
  • Actively participate in problem‑solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Achieve and maintain target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.
  • Ability to interpret document specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
  • Must be able to adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined below:
    • Hand/Arm:
      Gloves, Over the Elbow Sleeves;
      Eye/Face:
      Safety Glasses;
      Ear:
      Ear plugs;
      Foot:
      Steel Toe, Metatarsal Guards
