Catcher
As a chicken catcher, you will need to catch a certain amount of birds and know the proper placement techniques with birds being put into the cages. Expected results include ensuring animal welfare guidelines are followed and counting the amount of birds loaded into the cages. Description of activities includes acquiring and putting on all required PPE, performing routine stretches before starting daily duties, walking the house to bed the birds, waiting for the cage to be set on blocks, opening the cage door, catching the correct amount of birds, loading birds in the cage one hand at a time, and repeating the process until the cage is full.
After the proper amount of birds is placed in the cage, the cage door is shut.

Up to $26/hour
Hours:
6:00 am - 3:00 pm, overtime as needed
