Hope ER is a privately owned, freestanding emergency department serving patients in Lufkin and the surrounding areas. We are looking for compassionate, motivated, and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs/BSN) who are interested in joining a close-knit emergency care team and making a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
Working in a freestanding ER offers an opportunity to provide direct, hands-on patient care in a more personal and team-oriented environment
. Our nurses work closely with providers and other clinical staff throughout the patient's visit, from initial assessment and treatment through discharge or transfer when necessary.
At Hope ER, we believe emergency care should be professional, compassionate, efficient, and patient-centered
. We strive to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and cared for while receiving timely emergency treatment.
As a Registered Nurse at Hope ER, you will play an important role in the complete emergency care process, including:
- Perform patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with a variety of emergency conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers.
- Start and maintain IV access and assist with emergency procedures.
- Collect specimens and assist with laboratory testing and diagnostic services.
- Work closely with providers to evaluate patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist with patient registration and obtaining accurate patient information when needed.
- Document assessments, treatments, medications, and patient outcomes accurately.
- Monitor patients throughout their stay and recognize changes in condition.
- Assist with transfers to higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Follow established clinical, safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.
Our freestanding emergency department offers a different experience from that of a large hospital. Because our team works closely together, nurses have the opportunity to be more involved in the patient's entire emergency visit and develop strong working relationships with providers and fellow staff.
- Hands‑on patient care
- Close collaboration with providers and clinical staff
- A more intimate and team-oriented work environment
- Exposure to emergency medicine and a variety of patient conditions
- Opportunities to participate in laboratory and diagnostic workflows
- Meaningful patient interaction
- Professional growth and continued learning
- Compassionate, patient-centered emergency care
At Hope ER, our mission is to provide accessible, compassionate, and high‑quality emergency care to the communities we serve
. We believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, regardless of the circumstances that bring them through our doors.
We are committed to building a team that takes pride in its work, supports one another, and puts the patient first.
