Job Summary:

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking aService Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Nacogdoches, TX location.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Work with Georgia Poultrycustomers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available atGeorgia
  
  Poultrywith which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with theGeorgia
  
  Poultryin-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered byGeorgia
  
  Poultry Equipment Company and by it’s vendors

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the poultryproduction industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modernpoultry productionfacilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modernpoultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred
