Position: Plow Operator (Travel)

Role Description The Plow Operator (Travel) is a full-time, on-site position based in Idaho, United States, with frequent travel to project locations as needed. This role is responsible for operating plow equipment to install or maintain underground utility lines, following project specifications and safety procedures. Day-to-day tasks include preparing work sites, inspecting and operating plow machinery, assisting with basic equipment maintenance, and coordinating with crew members and supervisors to complete assignments on schedule.

The Plow Operator will work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform physical labor associated with utility construction, and adhere to company and regulatory safety guidelines. This position requires reliable attendance, flexibility with travel and work hours, and effective communication with team members and site leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating construction or utility-related equipment, with the ability to learn and safely operate plow machinery.
  • Knowledge of basic construction practices, utility installation, and work site safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, walking over uneven terrain, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and commitment to following safety standards and company policies.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field crews, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly for projects and to work flexible hours as required by project schedules.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL Class A is preferred, not required.
  • Previous experience in utility construction or a related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
