Warehouse Associate

Basic

Job Duties:

* Greets customers and helps unload scrap metal

* Identifies and sorts different types of materials

* Must be courteous and patient with employees and customers

* Helps with housekeeping during down times

* Must be willing to fill at other tasks when needed and performing only those jobs on which they have been trained

* Must be willing to work in the weather conditions

* Responsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment

* Able to handle and work with demanding customers

* Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications:

* Ability to provide quality customer service

* Must have forklift operating experience

* Must have steel toed boots

* 1 year of customer service experience required

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Must be able to pass background check along with drug and alcohol testing

* Must be able to stand for long periods of time

* Good attendance and punctuality is a must

* Ability to provide quality customer service

* Effective written communication skills and ability to complete paperwork promptly

* Analytical and problem solving skills

* Understand computer basics

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time

* The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 80 pounds.

* The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
