As a progressive financial institution, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to fulfill the role of Teller at our Nampa Branch. Candidates must be eligible for membership at Pioneer to obtain employment.
Responsibilities- Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sell money orders and cashier's checks; transfer amounts from member accounts as directed and within credit union policies.
- Balance daily transactions and ensure that cash recycler inventory is correct at closing.
- Welcome members, provide routine information concerning services, and escort members to the appropriate location in the branch to better assist them.
- Resolve problems within authority; refer problems beyond authority to supervisor with recommendations.
- Continuously search for ways to WOW members or potential members in all interactions.
- Actively practice overcoming member and potential member objections when recommending Pioneer products and services.
- Meet daily, weekly, or monthly goals and be held accountable to those goals.
- Maintain member account information on computer systems by gathering complete and accurate member information and updating records as needed.
- Assure that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Act as liaison between members and various organizations and departments.
- Help maintain Pioneer’s brand look and feel at all times.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Pioneer products and services, including member electronic and video channels such as home banking, mobile banking, my Pioneer Personal Assistant, etc.
- Experience:
Minimum six months of similar or related experience. - Education:
A high school education or GED. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Significant trust and diplomacy required; extensive personal contact with others; motivating or influencing others; fostering relationships with external entities. - Other
Skills:
Excellent public relations skills, knowledge of Pioneer services and products, organizational skills to ensure proper recording and dissemination of required information. Efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in communication are vital. - Physical Requirements:
Very light physical effort; typical office job; may involve constant standing. - Work Environment:
Normal light, heat, air, and space; based at Nampa Branch; may be requested to work at other branch locations within the Treasure Valley on occasion.
