Position DescriptionSeeking a dynamic and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to oversee and direct the FNP program. The FNP director will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and evaluating the program, ensuring academic excellence, compliance with accreditation standards, and student success. This individual will collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to maintain a high-quality curriculum and foster a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction for the FNP program, including working with the graduate team on curriculum development, program evaluation, and student support
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Teach courses within the FNP program.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors to support student clinical experiences.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance and support.
- Lead efforts in student recruitment, admissions, and retention for the program.
- Stay informed about current trends and advancements in nursing and healthcare education.
- Represent the program at internal and external meetings, events, and conferences.
- Participate in other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Idaho RN licensure and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- The University requires that all candidates have a Christian perspective (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition), and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU
- Computer competency and aptitude for learning new software
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in the English language.
- DNP or PhD in nursing or related field
- Experience working in a rural or community setting.
The salary and rank will be determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant and will be discussed with individual candidates as they are invited to interview for this position.
