Student Worker, Chess - Extended Learning

Overview

Punahou School provides current students with a range of employment opportunities. Working at Punahou while attending school allows students to gain valuable skills and job experience that can enhance the academic learning process and give students the opportunity to serve and learn in a values-based, mission-oriented setting. The ideal candidate should be alert, punctual and detail-oriented. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Escorts grades 2-3 Chess students to/from class, and ensures the safe supervision of students at all times.
• Pays attention to curriculum taught during lessons and provides students with individual help as needed to ensure understanding of chess concepts.
• Helps to set up/break down the class daily.

  Scheduling is based on individual student schedules and availability.
• Hourly Rate: $14.00/Hour

• Current Punahou School student in good standing.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good work ethic, ability to take and follow instructions.
• Use of good judgement, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to balance school commitments, play and extracurricular activities with work responsibilities.
