NORTHWEST NAZARENE UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS Graduate Assistant for STUNT

Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) Athletic Department competes at the NCAA Division II level. NNU is a member of the Pac West Conference which includes:
Fresno Pacific University, Concordia University Irvine, Vanguard University, Hawaii Pacific University, William Jessup University.

This position is a part‑time, graduate assistant position and will report to the Head STUNT Coach.

• Prepares, plans, conducts, and evaluates practice sessions, as directed by Head Coach.
• Teaches individuals and groups of student‑athletes specific tasks and skills before, during and after practice, during season and off‑season.
• Follow all NCAA and Northwest Nazarene University’s recruiting policies.
• Oversee portion of study hall.
• Plans long and short‑term team objectives under the leadership of the Head Coach.
• Participates in recruiting efforts with the Office of Admissions, Academic Services, Compliance and others within your PSAs under the supervision of the program’s recruiting coordinator.
• Assists in the formulation of team and department fundraising activities and promotional events.
• Administers day to day operations as directed by the Head Coach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree
• Acceptance into NNU’s Graduate School
• Sufficient skills, knowledge and training to perform the essential function of the position

• High motivation and commitment to the University, including the ability to self‑start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines, work without direct supervision, be able to multi‑task, problem‑solve, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances
• Ability to obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR card
• Ability to obtain NNU driving certification

Full‑time graduate school tuition and a $3,000 per year stipend.
