Description

The Preschool Director will partner in the discipleship, instruction, and care of Preschool students with the Gospel and a Biblical Worldview as its foundation.

- This position is a full-time, salaried, year-round position.
- Experience leading a team of faculty and staff in a daycare or educational setting
- Demonstrated sensitivity toward staff, parents, volunteers, and students, with the ability to interact effectively with all

- Understands the importance of discernment, discretion, and confidentiality in school operations

- At least two years of experience as a Preschool Director or in a comparable early childhood program leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Active CPR and Child Care certifications
- Experience directing or overseeing before- and after-school or summer care programs for infants through age five
The Preschool Director holds full ownership of the following responsibility domains. Delegation of clerical support is appropriate; delegation of principal-level accountability is not.
1. Instructional Leadership and Staff Development- Lead regular formal and informal observations and evaluations for all faculty and staff, including a minimum of two documented competency observations per year for all lead teachers and aides (Infant through PreK3)
- Conduct onboarding competency assessments for all new hires
- Execute 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-in meetings for all new employees
- Develop and maintain individual Professional Growth and Development Plans in coordination with the Chief Academic Officer
- Plan and facilitate Inservice days for faculty and staff
- Facilitate annual Bible CEU training (two classes, four hours) for all preschool staff
- Facilitate annual safety training (four hours) for all preschool staff
- Schedule and facilitate CPR/First Aid certification classes twice per year
- Coordinate and facilitate continuing professional development classes (minimum 12 hours per year)
- Support coaching and mentorship for teachers and aides in partnership with the Chief Academic Officer
- Support and track Idaho STARS training compliance for all employees
- Maintain tracking of all staff certifications with expiration visibility; coordinate renewals through Paylocity and HR
- Support teacher and staff discipleship opportunities, including spiritual formation and Kingdom-minded professional growth
