Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
Micron Technology is seeking experienced Equipment Engineers and Process Engineers to ensure the optimal performance and continuous improvement of critical semiconductor processes and equipment including Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP), Diffusion, Implantation, Photolithography, Wet Etch, Dry Etch, and PCVD.
Equipment Engineer Responsibilities- Lead the installation and qualification of advanced equipment within newly constructed cleanroom environments.
- Apply data analysis, preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and documentation to monitor and enhance equipment performance.
- Partner with process engineers to diagnose and resolve equipment‑related issues impacting production efficiency.
- Use project management principles to implement initiatives addressing hardware deficiencies and improving equipment reliability.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure supplier engagement and best‑in‑class equipment performance.
- Design and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to enhance operational effectiveness and equipment longevity.
- Leverage data science and programming skills (Python, R, SQL) to analyze process data, identify trends, and implement optimization strategies.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in DRAM development and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with equipment and integration engineers to diagnose and resolve issues affecting production performance.
- Apply project management skills to address yield, defectivity, throughput, and cost challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all owned Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts to enhance process stability and performance.
- Apply deep knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment to support manufacturing operations and process development.
- Perform detailed data analysis and problem‑solving to improve yield and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience will be considered.
- At least 2 years of industry experience as an Equipment Owner or Process Owner.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for onboarding, training, and collaboration as required.
