Position Summary:
This role supports the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Pharmacy Operations Division through the Pharmacy Operations Support Contract Plus (POSC+). The selected candidate will function as a Pharmacist with Pharmacoeconomics expertise, providing both clinical and economic evaluations to support formulary management, pharmaceutical policy, andcost-effective drug therapy within the Military Health System (MHS).
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative and technical support to the DoD Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T)
Committee, including drafting minutes and ensuring 508compliance. - Assist in the preparation of industry solicitations and coordinate with DLA and VA to establish national pharmaceuticalcontracts.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of formulary decisions and DHA pharmaceutical policies.
- Performpharmacoeconomic analyses (cost-minimization,cost-effectiveness,cost-utility) and budget impact assessments.
- Conductstudies on pharmacoepidemiology, drug use evaluation, and pharmaceutical utilization.
- Develop evidence-based clinical effectiveness reviews andcomparativecost-effectiveness reports.
- Use decision tree models, Markov modeling, regression techniques, and relevant databases (e.g., SAS, Tableau, SQL, Excel).
- Present data-driven recommendations to the DoD P&TCommittee and the Uniform Formulary Beneficiary Advisory Panel.
- Participate in analytics teams tocalculate operational metrics and present insights.
- Collaborate with medical affairs, policy teams, and stakeholders to influence DoD formulary management.
Education:
- Advanceddegree in Public Health, Business, or Pharmacoeconomics is a plus.
- Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
- PGY1 graduate preferred
- Minimum 5 years in clinical pharmacy, with experience in managed care or government/military pharmacy settings.
- Demonstrated experience conducting pharmacoeconomic evaluations.
Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Proficiency in SQL queries, SAS, Tableau, and data visualization tools.
- Strong medical research and literature reviewcapabilities.
Conditions:
- Primarily remote, with occasional travel to support meetings, training, orconferences as required.
- Regular interaction with governmentstakeholders and adherence to DHA security protocols.
