About Independence Rehab

At Independence Rehab, our goal in the skilled nursing setting is simple:

Provide each patient with top‑quality care while maximizing functional independence.

We are a people‑first organization. Really.
We believe great therapists deserve strong support, flexibility, and respect.

What You'll Do
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re‑education, and functional mobility training
  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge documentation
  • Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants
  • Provide patient and family education related to mobility, safety, and fall prevention
  • Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Assist with coverage needs for vacations, fluctuating census, and higher‑acuity caseloads

If you'd like additional support with any competencies, we are happy to provide training and mentorship.

What We Offer

We take care of our therapists so they can take care of their patients.

  • Competitive PRN hourly rate (based on experience)
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative rehab culture
  • Opportunity for consistent PRN hours based on census needs
  • Continuing education support opportunities
Requirements
  • Current Idaho Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
  • Organized, self‑starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population

Preferred:

At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility. That said—if you are a caring, passionate, licensed therapist who loves working with older adults, we would still love to hear from you.
