About the roleStep into a central technical leadership role at Vestacy’s Global Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence
, where technical mastery meets strategic governance. We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Power BI who can look beyond individual dashboards to define the "Art of the Possible" for the entire organization.
This is your opportunity to build and nurture the Global Power BI Centre of Excellence (CoE). You will move beyond day-to-day report creation to become the guardian of the platform - setting the standards, solving the most complex technical challenges, and ensuring our data environment is performant, scalable, and secure. responsibilities
- Champion Best Practices & Community
Establish and foster a culture of technical excellence across the company. You will define the "Gold Standard" for Power BI development, creating reusable templates, coding standards, and visualization guidelines. Mentor analysts across different business units, turning a scattered user base into a cohesive community of practice. - Build the Global Centre of Excellence (CoE)
Help us build and scale our CoE, driving the adoption of enterprise-grade development workflows. You will proactively identify skill gaps within the organization and facilitate knowledge sharing, ensuring that analytics remains high-quality and reliable. - Technical Consulting & Problem Solving
Serve as the organization’s primary technical consultant for critical reporting challenges. When business units face performance bottlenecks or complex data modeling hurdles, you will step in to provide expert guidance, optimize DAX/M code, and design robust data models that serve as the foundation for scalability. - Platform Guardianship & Proactive Monitoring
Take ownership of the health and hygiene of the Power BI tenant. You will use platform monitoring strategies to proactively detect refresh failures, capacity overloads, and usage anomalies before they impact the business. You will bridge the gap between development and administration, ensuring the environment remains secure and efficient.
- Deep Technical Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Power BI Developer in an enterprise environment, with mastery of complex Data Modeling (Star Schema), DAX, and knowledge of Power Query (M).
- Administration Fundamentals: A solid foundation in Power BI Service Administration, including workspace management, gateway configuration, capacity monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
- Governance Mindset: Experience establishing or maintaining governance frameworks, including row-level security (RLS), certification processes, and data lineage documentation.
- Performance Tuning: A track record of optimizing slow reports and models using tools like DAX Studio and Tabular Editor.
- Mentorship & Influence: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and experience training or mentoring other developers.
- Proactive Operations: Experience building custom monitoring solutions (e.g., using the Power BI Activity Log/API) to track adoption and performance is highly desirable.
