Position Summary

The intent of this position is to seek a reliable and motivated individual as a Lot Attendant to join our Fleet Services Division. The Lot Attendant will play a crucial role in supporting overall workflows, ensuring the shop remains organized and efficient. This position involves performing shop upkeep duties, running errands, and assisting the Parts Coordinator with parts deliveries and inventory tracking, as well as technicians with various repair needs.

The Lot Attendant will perform general daily shop duties for the Fleet Services Division maintenance facility.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain overall shop cleanliness and perform various housekeeping duties.
  • Pick up and deliver parts, transport city vehicles to and from various vendors and city facilities.
  • Generally support workflow efforts of the Parts Coordinator, administrative assistant, technicians, and other city Fleet staff as required.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the shop by preparing vehicles for service, including parking and staging vehicles in an orderly manner.
  • Run errands as needed, including picking up and delivering parts, supplies, and documents to vendors and customers.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of parts deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and stored correctly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries when needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, & License/Certification
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Valid State of Idaho driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Fluent in English reading, writing and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team to accomplish department goals.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • All applicants must be able to successfully pass City of Nampa background check processes and drug testing, which may include reference checks, criminal history checks, driving record checks, and pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug tests.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced automotive repair facility.
  • May require working outside in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
