Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator Company Overview:Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator.
Position Overview:Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role is responsible for assisting with department office operations, customer service, and supporting the supply chain process.
Position Responsibilities:- Assist with rail fleet logistics
- Monitor and update rail fleet report daily
- Assist with supply data analysis
- Audit for accuracy, enter, and approve rail invoices
- Assist with maintaining rail rates in ERP system
- Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure efficient rail moves
- Aid in the coordination of inbound shipments with our supply chain partners
- Aid in troubleshooting carrier issues
- Participate in development meetings and assist in achieving department goals
- Good analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- 3-5 years of asphalt experience (various, for background) is preferred
- Knowledge of department processes
- Good relationship building skills
- Highly organized
- Experience in dealing with railroads is beneficial
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
- Light travel
- Two (2) years of related experience, education, or certification
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
- Experience improving logistics processes
