Position: Industrial Painter II (CXT, Inc.)

Industrial Painter II

As an Industrial Painter II, you will operate a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or precast products and are trained to mix paints and other required solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Safe Start daily meetings.
  • Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S standards.
  • Carry out verbal and written instructions and complete jobs in a timely fashion.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
  • Ability to independently set up, operate and perform maintenance of latex air sprayers and other paint related equipment.
  • Trained to mix paint colors per specification and apply graffiti protection coating.
  • Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Experience, Education, etc.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
    • 3 years' experience painting in a manufacturing environment
    Skills & Abilities
    • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
    • Ability to work in a high paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following all safe work practices.
    • A focus on prioritization, time efficiency, problem solving and teamwork.
    • Ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Ability to wear a full faced respirator and work inside a paint booth.
    • Good visual acuity.
